About the Open Records Act

"The Public Information Act, formerly known as the Open Records Act, is located at chapter 552 of the Government Code. The Act provides a mechanism for citizens to inspect or copy government records. It also provides for instances in which governmental bodies wish to, or are required by law to, withhold government records from the public." (Texas Attorney General Web site)

Filing an Open Records Request With the City of Bee Cave

To obtain information pursuant the Public Information Act (Open Records Act), please use one of the following processes:

Filing an Open Records Request via Internet

2. Enter your information in the input area labelled "Contact information".
3. Select the "Open Records Request" radial button from the "Nature of this correspondence" area.
4. Enter the details of what information you would like to obtain.
5. Click the "Submit" button.
